Buybox Monitor for Vendor — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Buybox Monitor for Vendor ("the Extension") is a companion to your Epinium account, operated by Epinium.
What the Extension does
The Extension checks whether a competitor has won the Amazon buybox on your own products. It does this by opening your products' Amazon detail pages in the background and reading the offer/buybox block.
Data we process
- Account email — used to sign you in via a magic link / 2FA, exchanged only with Epinium's backend (
https://backend-v2.epinium.com). - Your product list — retrieved from your Epinium account to know which ASINs and marketplaces to check.
- Public buybox data from your products' Amazon pages: ASIN, the seller name shown in the buybox, ship-from, and availability. Results are stored locally in your browser (
chrome.storage.local) and shown in the popup.
What we do NOT do
- We do not read pages other than your products' Amazon detail pages.
- We do not collect browsing history.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the Extension.
Permissions and why
- Host access to Amazon marketplaces (requested at runtime) — to open and read your products' detail pages, only on the marketplaces you sell in.

Data retention
Results and settings live only in your browser and are cleared when you log out or remove the Extension. Authentication tokens are stored locally and revoked on logout.
