Listing Quality: Media

Access from: Processes → Workflows

Audits the images and A+ Content of every active product (seller and vendor) on the configured connection and marketplace. Images are the first visual contact point with the buyer: a missing or low-resolution MAIN blocks the sale and drastically reduces conversion.

This template does not apply auto-fixes: corrections require uploading new images or publishing A+ Content, actions only the user can perform.

Checks

Missing MAIN image (I01)

  • Severity: error
  • What it checks: That the product has at least one image with the MAIN variant.
  • Why it matters: Without a main image the listing does not appear in search results and Amazon blocks the sale. It is the most critical image issue: the product is invisible to the buyer.
  • Amazon reference: Product image guide.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires uploading an image.
  • Task message: "No main product image found. Listings without a MAIN image cannot appear in search results."

MAIN resolution insufficient for zoom (I02)

  • Severity: error
  • What it checks: That the MAIN image is at least 1000px on its longest side.
  • Why it matters: Amazon enables the zoom feature only when the image exceeds 1000px. Without zoom, the buyer cannot inspect the product, which significantly reduces conversion. Below 1000px Amazon also tends to suppress the listing from search results.
  • Amazon reference: Technical image file requirements.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires uploading a higher-resolution image.
  • Task message: "Main image resolution is WxH. Images below 1000px cannot enable zoom, which reduces conversion."

Suboptimal MAIN resolution (I03)

  • Severity: warning
  • What it checks: That the MAIN image is at least 1600px on its longest side.
  • Why it matters: Although zoom is enabled from 1000px, Amazon recommends 1600px or more so that zoom shows sufficient detail. Intermediate resolutions enable zoom but pixelated, giving a poor impression of quality.
  • Amazon reference: Technical image file requirements.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires a higher-resolution image.
  • Task message: "Main image resolution is WxH. Images below 1600px provide suboptimal zoom quality."

Non-square MAIN (I04)

  • Severity: warning
  • What it checks: That the MAIN image has a 1:1 (square) aspect ratio.
  • Why it matters: Amazon displays images in square containers. A rectangular MAIN is padded with white bars or cropped unpredictably, showing the product inconsistently in results and reducing visual appeal.
  • Amazon reference: Product image guide.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires editing the image.
  • Task message: "Main image is WxH (not square). Non-square images display inconsistently across Amazon pages."

Too few image variants (I05)

  • Severity: error / warning
  • What it checks: That the product has at least 5 images (error if <5, warning if <7).
  • Why it matters: Amazon recommends 6+ images. More images increase buyer trust, let you showcase the product from different angles, use cases and details, and tend to correlate with higher conversion rates. Below 5 images the listing conveys low quality and buyers tend to move to the next result.
  • Amazon reference: Product image guide.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires generating and uploading additional images.
  • Task message: "Only N image variants (recommended: M+). More images significantly increase conversion rate."

Missing secondary variants PT01-PT05 (I06)

  • Severity: warning
  • What it checks: That the secondary variants PT01, PT02, PT03, PT04, PT05 exist.
  • Why it matters: Amazon defines specific slots (PT01-PT05) for secondary product photos (different angles, details, use cases, lifestyle). Having all slots filled ensures the listing gallery is complete and the visual indexation leverages the structure Amazon expects.
  • Amazon reference: Product image guide.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires uploading the missing images.
  • Task message: "Missing secondary image variants: PT-LIST. A complete gallery (PT01-PT05) improves buyer confidence."

No A+ Content (A01)

  • Severity: warning
  • What it checks: That the product has A+ Content published.
  • Why it matters: A+ Content (also called Enhanced Brand Content) can increase conversion between 3% and 10% according to Amazon's published data. It visually replaces the description with an enriched layout (large images, comparisons, tables, brand modules) and differentiates your product from competitors who do not have it.
  • Amazon reference: A+ content guidelines.
  • Auto-fix: no — A+ Content is designed and published from Seller Central. Requires Brand Registry enrollment.
  • Task message: "No A+ Content configured. A+ Content can increase conversion by 5-10% with rich visual storytelling."

A+ Content missing marketplace locale (A02)

  • Severity: warning
  • What it checks: That the published A+ Content has a variant for the marketplace language (e.g. es_ES for Amazon.es, de_DE for Amazon.de).
  • Why it matters: If the A+ is in English and the buyer is in Germany, the enriched content loses its value: images with text in the wrong language confuse buyers, reduce trust and conversion. Amazon allows language variants for the same A+ — using them keeps consistency across all marketplaces.
  • Amazon reference: A+ content guidelines.
  • Auto-fix: no — requires creating the language variant from the A+ Content Manager.
  • Task message: "A+ Content is missing locale LOCALE for marketplace COUNTRY. Content may not display correctly."
