Tasks
Access from: Processes → Tasks
Task management system that centralizes recommended actions on your products, campaigns, and other Amazon resources. Tasks can be created manually, generated from AI Chat, produced automatically by Workflows, or by the system itself.
Key concepts
Task
A container that groups one or more suggestions (items) about entities in your account. Each task has:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Descriptive name for the task |
| Status | Pending, Resolved, or Discarded |
| Priority | High, Medium, or Low |
| Assigned to | User responsible for reviewing it |
| Origin | Who created it: user, AI Chat, workflow, or system |
| Expiration date | Optional — deadline for review |
Task Items (suggestions)
Each task contains one or more items: specific suggestions about a particular entity. An item includes:
- Affected entity: product, campaign, ad group, target, search term, or product ad
- Detected problem (
problemLabel): brief problem description (e.g., "Title too short", "Low budget") - Severity: error, warning, or info
- Current value and suggested value: side-by-side comparison of what exists and what is recommended
- Individual status:
Pending,Approved, orRejected
Edit before approving
When approving an item, you can modify the suggested value before applying it. You're not required to accept the suggestion as-is.
Task origins
| Origin | Description |
|---|---|
| User | Created manually from the tasks view |
| AI Chat | Generated as a recommendation during an AI conversation |
| Workflow | Created automatically by a "Create Task" node in a workflow |
| System | Generated by Epinium's internal analysis processes |
Priorities
| Priority | Use |
|---|---|
| High | Critical issues requiring immediate attention |
| Medium | Important optimization opportunities |
| Low | Informational suggestions or minor improvements |
Lifecycle
1. Creation
The task is created with Pending status and can include items from the start or accumulate them progressively (for example, when a workflow adds items on each execution).
2. Review
From the detail side panel you can:
- Approve or reject items one by one
- Bulk resolve: approve or reject all pending items at once
- Edit the suggested value before approving
- Add items manually by searching products by connection and country
- Comment on the task to coordinate with your team
3. Application
Approved items that have an associated technical field (fieldPath) can be applied to the original entity. Clicking "Apply" queues a bulk change that updates the product or campaign in the background.
Items without a technical field
Some items are free-form suggestions (without fieldPath). These are marked as "manual application needed" — you'll need to make the change yourself in Amazon or in the corresponding Epinium section.
4. Auto-resolution
When all items in a task are resolved (approved or rejected), the task resolves automatically.
Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)
Tasks created by workflows can be marked as blocking (HITL). This means items in the task must be reviewed by a human before being applied to your products or campaigns — the workflow runs to completion, but no changes reach your data until you approve the items. Useful for flows that require human oversight before applying automatic changes.
Filters and search
The tasks view allows filtering by:
- Status: pending, resolved, discarded
- Priority: high, medium, low
- Origin: user, AI Chat, workflow, system
- Created by: specific user or workflow
- Search by title
Within a task, items can be filtered by entity type (products, campaigns…) and by status (pending, approved, rejected).
Catalog integration
From a task to the catalog
From a task's detail panel, you can navigate directly to the affected products in the catalog. Clicking on a product within the items opens its detail page in the catalog where you can see the full product context.
Filter products by task
In the Catalog → Products view, there is a Task filter that shows only products associated with a specific task. When this filter is active:
- A selector appears where you can search and choose the task
- The product table filters to show only products that have items in that task
- An informational message indicates you're viewing products filtered by task, with a button to remove the filter
This is especially useful for reviewing at a glance all products affected by a workflow or AI task, and being able to edit or publish their changes from the catalog.
Product detail
In any product's detail view, you'll see a Tasks section showing:
- Linked tasks with pending items for that product
- AI-specific recommendations for the product
- Ability to approve or reject items directly from the product detail
Workflow: reviewing tasks from a workflow
- Go to Processes → Tasks
- Filter by origin Workflow
- Open a pending task
- Review each item: compare the current value with the suggested one
- Approve (editing if needed) or reject each item
- Click Apply so the approved changes are executed
- The task resolves automatically when no pending items remain
Tasks and Workflows
Workflows can automatically create tasks using the "Create Task" node. This allows, for example, a workflow to analyze all your products every week and generate a task with suggested optimizations for you to review before applying them.
