Credits (token system)
Credits are Epinium's internal currency: they pay for the AI features and also for requests to the public API and the MCP connector.

Credit types
| Type | Description |

| Free monthly credits | Granted automatically each month based on the contracted plan. Expire at the end of the month if unused. |
| Purchased credits | Credits the user acquires manually. Never expire. |
Consumption order
Free credits are consumed first. Purchased credits are only used once free credits run out.
What each operation costs
The prices are in Settings → Credits, grouped by area: Listing Optimization, Demand forecasts, AI Intelligence & Workflows, and Public API and MCP connector.
Two rules change what you spend, regardless of the price of each operation:
- Stock and sales forecasts are charged by SKU tiers: the same forecast costs differently depending on the size of the catalog you analyse.
- In the API and the MCP connector, metrics requests are charged by the date range, not by the number of rows: asking for a year costs far more than asking for a week, even if it returns a single row. And only what is delivered is charged, so a call that fails consumes nothing.
What happens when credits run out?
AI operations (content generation, audits) and requests to the API and the MCP connector cannot run until credits are recharged. All other platform features (dashboard, campaigns, tables) continue working normally.
